If you’re a reader, you likely want your kid to be one as well. Most parents encourage their kids to read by reading to them right from infancy. The problem with that is this: babies aren’t the gentlest with books. They slobber all over them, squeeze pages, and sometimes even rip off covers. That’s where board books come in! In my time as a babysitter, they were my favorite to read to kids — they make good teething toys and can withstand a good toss. Plus, the pages are practically impossible to rip apart.
