What do you read when you’ve outgrown Wimpy Kid, Spy School, Explorer Academy, and The Last Kids on Earth? I have boys 14 and 16 who used to read every day. They don’t want to read romance. And they’re not mature enough for mainstream adult novels. If publishers think boys don’t read, they have created a self-fulfilling prophecy.
